Blackout Party is a 5-piece rock band based in San Diego, CA. They won "Best Americana" at the 2011 San Diego Music Awards, which they were also nominated for in 2010. "B.O.P." has built up a solid following with residencies at House of Blues, Riviera Supper Club, and has shared the stage with such diverse acts as Blue Cheer, Lucero, and White Buffalo at the famed San Diego club the Casbah. Their second album, "Closed Mouth Don't Get Fed", was released Oct. 21, 2011 on Mudslide Music. Blackout Pary finished 2011 by opening for My Morning Jacket and Delta Spirit at fm94.9's annual Holiday Hootenanny. The station added "Spanish Gold" into daily rotation, and the record was 94.9's "recommended" for the month of November.
